About VWWAA

Our Organization

The Virginia Water and Waste Authorities Association (VWWAA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization of over 50 member jurisdictions and leading firms/consultants that have joined together to promote and defend the interests of Virginia's water and waste authorities. Through the strength of its Membership Network and Government Relations team, VWWAA is a strategic voice for water and wastewater utilities that are organized under the "Virginia Water and Waste Authorities Act" (Section 15.2-5100 et. seq. of the Code of Virginia).

VWWAA effectively represents the interests of our membership by supporting legislation, regulations and other matters of importance at both the State and local level in order to promote and protect the powers afforded by "The Act".  The Association also provides a platform for collaboration and sharing of information among our members.
